ON A WEEKEND BREAK NORFOLK BIRDWATCHING JUST LATELY, I FOUND THAT THE COASTAL AREA IN CERTAIN HAS PREMIER AREAS FOR BIRD WATCHING.

On a weekend break Norfolk birdwatching not too long ago, I discovered that the coastal location in certain has premier areas for seeing our feathered close friends as effectively as currently being house to some fabulous Norfolk luxury hotels.

I started at Blakeney Level Nationwide Trust Reserve. The point itself is a shingle spit that has grown four miles to the east since the 13th century. It is house to the Frequent Tern, Sandwich Tern and Small Flip, all here to breed in the spring and summer. It is also a great centre for boating, both powered and sail.

Along the coastal there is the Norfolk Wildlife Believe in Reserve in Cley-next-the-Sea. This gorgeous place was very first founded in the 1930s and is a Mecca for people with an curiosity in birds. It is closely connected to Salthouse Heath, located just inland and comprising of dense bushes with open heath and some woodland. Birds to be observed are Nightingales and Nightjars. Back to the coast are the Salthouse marshes which virtually constantly host a plethora of wildlife – ducks, meadow loving waders and shore birds in specific, as effectively as Lapwings, Meadow Pipits and Skylarks. Moving further east, you are soon at the Titchwell Bird Reserve with its big, custom-developed visitors’ centre giving excellent views of the shore and marshes. Any of these areas are great spots from which to watch the migrating birds. The views of thousands of Geese flying in for the winter, for example, is actually 1 of the great spectacles in the English birdwatching calendar.
